HARRODS
THE FOOD HALLS AND SHOE HEAVEN

Knightsbridge, Brompton Road
London, England

Harrods!  It's a no brainer isn't it? If there is a person within the center of London that hasn't stepped foot into Harrods I would argue they are a unicorn.  It's a must go on the destination list for tourists.  For those living in London, except maybe the Sloane Rangers, a trip to Harrods isn't as frequent as one would think.  For myself it's mainly the crowds.  Living in London I discovered certain areas are always busy and crowded mainly due to tourism, and I avoid those areas as much as possible.  The neighborhoods within central London although central tend not to draw many tourists and one begins to develop an appreciation for that fact.  But Harrods is a quick bus ride from my flat and I do love The Food Halls.  I often go to pick up one of my favorite salads, but I quickly pop in and pop out.  The salad bar has pre-made salads but I always build my own and I find it's an excellent value at only 10 Pounds.  It's a really big salad!  Occasionally I like to sit in The Food Halls for lunch at The Grill.  I will order the chicken which is good but $$$$???? a bit much for chicken, but hey it's Harrods.  This also gives me an excuse to check out Harrods Shoe Heaven.  Well worth fighting the crowds 5 floors up.  Buying a pair of shoes and people watching over lunch?  For this girl, with an addiction to shoes and a love for good food, that's just about the perfect day.
