NO.246
Ponce de Leon Court, Downtown Decatur
Atlanta, Georgia
There's nothing more satisfying than a plate of pasta. Finding anyone that doesn't love pasta is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. But due to all of our gluten free, carb free and dairy free diets pasta unfortunately is no longer a diet staple and has become something we steer away from on a regular basis. Which is even more of a reason why when we do eat pasta? It better be good. No! It better be fan-f'in-tastic!!! No.246 doesn't disappoint. But I mean how could it? It's part of the Chef Ford Fry portfolio of restaurants. No.246 is located in downtown Decatur and offers seasonal italian inspired dishes made with locally sourced (farm to table) ingredients. Everything is made in house, including the pasta. No.246 has been on my list of restaurants to try but I never got around to it for some reason. Thankfully, a couple of weeks ago I remembered so I took my mom out and headed to Decatur for a night out. Initially I planned on ordering the black spaghetti alla puttanesca but I've heard so much about the meatballs I couldn't resist ordering the traditional spaghetti and meatballs for two (more like for 4). I don't think I even have to say it was delicious. Looking at the photos you can see the silkiness of the pasta and sauce. Oh! And that meatball? Squisito! But stay tuned....I'm heading back because I must try the black spaghetti alla puttanesca.
